THE IDEAL GARDEN...
As part of this year's submission, we have been introduced to the international Garden Festival of Chaumont-sur-Loire, an exciting project that we have the pleasure to take part of. Its aim is to gather ideas and give garden designers and landscape architects the opportunity to enter the competition and to produce a conceptual garden that may or may not be exhibited in their annual show.
The idea of it is super excited and..scary at the same time. This is the first real-life concept and (group project ) that could possibly be built and the thought process behind it will be completely different.
This years theme is the ''ideal garden'', a very open and broad theme in my opinion. Which is good, because it challenges to think outside the box, and pin up one idea from endless possibilities.
I started off grasping the theme by mind mapping and brain storm what an ''ideal garden'' means to me...
What's interesting about this, is listening and collaborating with different people, more specifically learning about what an ''ideal garden'' means to everyone. Each person came up with very different concepts, some of them more poetic and symbolic, others more logical and simple. All of them extraordinary and valid. The picture above shows my idea of it.
