Design in progress...

I put together all the ideas I have gathered to create a multi sensorial urban design to create this Masterplan that will follow the idea of focusing on one sense in each area. The soundscape, which will be on the north-west side of the site will be crossed by a water course. The journey along the water course will invite visitors to walk through the most naturalistic part of the site, predominantly dominated by trees, accompanied by the gentle sound of flowing water. A series of clearances will host seating spaces where visitors can simply relax within the small woodland.

The sensory playground dedicated to the touch will be found on the south-west part of the site, this will focus on delivering a fun and creative space through interactive play areas for  children as well as for adults.

A central belted area will be created for the smellscape. The smellscape will be constituted by a food-hall and a litte therapeutic plaza with scented plants, the two will be crossed by a little canal.

Taste will of course be represented by the Food-hall again, as well as the edible garden located on the southern part. A cafe will also be located here.

The sight will be represented by views, therefore taking place where the best views are of the site such as the river side, where a series of viewpoints will be allocated bordering with the water. Other viewpoints will be placed on the right side of the path, where a panoramic view of the site will be visible. I am also planning on placing higher hills on site for views, however it will be determined by whether it blocks certain other views.

The design is still in process and I will most likely change a few things by layering and layering!
